This thing is a powerhouse. Draws 98 watts measured by a clamp meter, which is incredibly close to the 120w spec. I don’t have a lux meter to get true brightness, but it‘s knockout bright. Throws plenty of flood light as soon as the photo sensor kicks in. You can also just run it off a switch or contactor to get instant on/off. If you need a wall pack, this one is super easy to mount to a junction box and go. No fussing, no ugliness. Will definitely buy more to light up our warehouse.
I have recently installed a similar light that appears identical but install differently. I added this to my back porch as a flood light on a switch for walking the dog at night. The brightness is great and it covers a lot more area than my previous light. It also looks much better than the previous light and does not look out of place. The installation process is where things were a little difficult, It uses a bracket that the light mounts to rather than screwing through the housing. The included bracket had a very small bubble level which was a nice touch but the first time the bracket fell off my ladder the bubble level was gone. For my install the space was tight so hooking the light over the bracket and then fitting an Allen wrench under it to secure the lock screws proved very difficult. Wiring was another issue since my wire entered the previous fixture from the side and not directly behind, and with this style of mounting you have to hold the entire light fixture while wire nutting the wires together and then tuck them behind the housing.Kind of an inconvenient install procedure but the light looks good and works perfectly.
Mine arrived just in the box with the foam packing and instruction slip. No hardware which was surprising. I will admit that most of the time provided hardware is not impressive. But one may be counting on it for installation. In my case this wasn't a problem since I have wired it to an extension cord for use for now. Personally, I am not looking forward to mounting on a wall given the mounting mechanism and limited clearance. The open (not sealed) back is also problematic in my opinion. Additionally, given the description of the item, I was less than impressed by the plastic lens. It is functional but definitely looks like plastic and not as heavy as I thought it would be. On the other hand, the metal case is sturdy. It did also draw 118W when connected on battery which is close to what the manufacturer stated. The switch on the side is convenient and easy to turn off the photo sensor. Currently, I have this providing illumination in a newly created cellar for which it does a good job and should help with the rest of construction. So functionally it works, does the job, and not bad for the price.
Mounted to the side of my metal garage. Took a little ingenuity to get a box mounted on the outside of the building in a way that would support the light but got it sorted. When you first power the light up, it turns on but if it's daytime it shuts off after about 15 seconds. The photo sensor works great as it's on when expected and off when it should be as well. It illuminates a very large area very well. I can see the treetops that are 100' + away at night. It's only been up for a week but has already gone through several heavy rains including some hail so I believe it's going to hold up for the long term.
My neighbor recently bought this light locally for much more money so I can certainly say its a super value here.I saw his light and was jealous and wanted one so now I have that and can do a proper review -1. Crazy bright outdoor light with a very efficient LED system.2. Very durable item built to last a long time and certainly built for the outdoors3. Functionally this will fit the bill for either a security light or just a nice outdoor light for late night activities or safety4. The dusk to dawn feature can be turned off (see pic) but I can't imagine needing a light in the daytime, also, there is a proper delay on that of several seconds so something like passing car headlights aren't turning the light on and off constantly.pro-tips:The photo sensor is on the opposite side of the switch so you may want to pay attention to that for where you mount this beast. One of the first things you'll need is a small allen wrench (hex key) If you don't own the proper one I recommend picking up a set of standard and metric for this and all future uses, never the ones with the "rounded" endsOf course make sure the power is off before working on anything electrical and test it properlyThis could probably be used with a motion detector if you want to pick one of those up
First, I'd like to commend the seller on being honest with the wattage rating of this light. I measured 112 watts on my portable pure sine wave power station, and that's right in the ballpark. The build quality of this light is outstanding; it feels very durable. The mounting bracket and the entire housing portion of the light is metal. The lens a medium thickness plastic which should hold up well to the elements, but probably isn't vandal-proof (ideally, this should be mounted well out of reach of any potential hooligans anyway).Mine came with no mounting hardware other than the preinstalled bracket, so depending on how you're planning on mounting it, you might need to drill some additional holes in the mounting plate and provide your own fasteners. It illuminates a large area with a very bright crisp white light, and the dusk-to-dawn functionality worked as expected. Overall, for a utilitarian style light, this certainly checks all the boxes.
The Demilare wall pack is a great lightweight fixture with a die-cast housing and a plastic lens, making it a good fit for residential use. It's not a heavy-duty, commercial-style fixture with a glass lens, but it works perfectly for what we needed. We used it to replace an older 150-watt HPS fixture on our shop, and it‘s been an excellent energy-saving upgrade. Mounted at 14 feet, it provides plenty of light at an economical cost. One of the best features is the built-in photocell, which makes it super convenient. The mounting bracket is standard and easily attached to the existing box on the building - no hassle there. Overall, we’re very happy with the product and would consider purchasing more to replace the rest of our building lights.Physical Attributes are as followsvery bright 18,000 Lumens as listed and a nice compact size of 12.09 inches wide, 9.06 inches tall, and a depth of 5.5 inches in the standard bronze color.
